On the Design Wall

My former roommate/best friend from college ordered a custom baby quilt from me, and here's a snapshot of the WIP. She wanted something gender neutral because the expecting couple is waiting to find out the sex of the baby. I didn't use a pattern, but the design was inspired by a cheater print I saw on Spoonflower a couple weeks ago. With the help of a pen and a little graph paper, it wasn't too hard to whip up dimensions for something similar.

And in case you're wondering, I haven't forgotten about the Wet Bag Tutorial I promised! I've been working late a lot lately, and just haven't had time to finish it yet. I'll definitely have it up by the end of the month though, because I want to give you all plenty of time to make Christmas gifts.

Life's been kind of stressful lately - this is our busiest time of year at work because over half our clients renew their benefits packages on January 1st, plus the other Marketing person in my unit just left our company somewhat unexpectedly, so my workload is a nightmare right now. It also sucks that the person who left was the only person on my unit I was friends with, so now there's no one nearby to help relieve the stress by joking around when things get crazy :(

Kaelin, this quilt looks great, and I'm impressed that you didn't use a pattern! I would have to hunt one up, myself. Don't work too hard, and take good care of yourself! Ha! (I sound like a true mother/grandmother, don't I? Sorry!)

These colors are so yummy together!

I feel you on the "Why are people allowed to leave my office during crazy-busy time." Lucky for me that was two years ago and now I have new awesome co-workers who I got to train to my liking ;) Hope things turn around for you soon!

Cute quilt top!
Hoping work gets better for ya!

I hope you still have your Halloween dress-up partner at work. It's coming up. N
